A total of 5915 students where admitted on the 8 th February ,2013 to
full membership of University of Benin(UNIBEN), after subscribing to
the relevant Matriculation Oath for 2012/2013 academic session.
At the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of
Benin,Professor O.G Oshodin(JP), charged the matriculating students to
be loyal and true tothe matriculation oath of obedience and respect to
the authority of the University that has offered them admission.
He equally admonished them to protect and guard their new status
jealously and avoid any unwholesome behavior that may pose threat to
thepeace and progress of the university.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the
matriculation oath by the Matriculation oath by the Vice-Chancellor and
the subsequent sighing of the Matriculation register by the new
students.
The ceremony was attended by Principal Officers of the University of
Benin, including Deans of Faculties/Schools and Directors of
Institutes/Centres.
